Scotney Castle is a ruin, the New House as it is known was left to the National Trust by its last resident Betty, upon the understanding that it remain as it was. This has been taken extremely seriously and even the magazines Betty was reading (predominantly about cats) are still on show where they were left, it seems almost ready for Betty to return and resume her residency.
